Clean Eating

No, I’m no where close to being a clean eater! I eat prepared foods out of my freezer and fridge many days! But I continue to try to eat more real whole foods and am venturing into making recipes cleaner, and these people are a great resource.

On a side note, keep in mind that a person’s idea of “clean eating” can also vary slightly. For example, I’ve seen recipes labeled as such that use artificial sweetener, such as Sweet N Low, or use chocolate chips, which clearly contains real sugar… both strict clean eating no-no’s. So it all just depends on how strict you are! And just like you should pay attention to the ingredients in prepared items, pay attention to ingredients in recipes too! Just because they are labeled one thing, doesn’t always mean they truly are! And don’t feel like you have to be strict either. Here is a great little post by Tony (a.k.a. The Anti Jared) on the Attune Foods blog about clean(er) eating.
