Weigh In Wednesday: Finally!

Weigh-in Wednesday!Well I did it! I lost 2 lbs this week! I’m actually quite shocked because I completely lost track of my intake on Saturday and Sunday night. And I had last minute dinner and drinks with a friend the night before weigh in! But when your friend comes in town who you haven’t seen in forever, how can you say no!? We did go to Seasons 52 though, so I know my food choices were not bad, but the vino put me over! (If you are not familiar, Seasons 52 is an upscale restaurant with healthier foods with nutrition facts, and I highly recommend it!) What was interesting though, is that I was 8 points over for the day, but according to myfitnesspal, I was only at 1263 calories. Just goes to show that Weight Watchers takes into consideration things like alcohol and carbs!

Now, this week will continue to be difficult, with not one, but two birthday celebration nights on Thursday and Friday. It is a rarity that I have all this stuff going on in one week! So hopefully I can ratchet back the rest of the weekend to make up for them!

As far as working out, I think I stepped it up a little bit. I am actually a little more sore today because I moved on to the week two workout of Ripped in 30 on Monday. (Yes, still sore two days later!) I’m not doing it exactly as “prescribed” though. You’re supposed to do each week’s workout five to six times a week. I am doing it about every other day (adding in some rest days) until I’ve done it six times, then moving on to the next week’s work out. It took me about 2 weeks to get through the week one. And I swear I can start to see a tiny bit of definition on the outside of my arms, but I might be kidding myself!

This monday I also officially started training for my next 5K. I have already been running 1-1.5 miles three days a week for the last two weeks, but I am frustrated because 1.5 miles still feels like torture, and I feel like I should be further along. I mean, I ran a 5K in June! And after a month off from running, I am dying at just half of that distance! :( I have got to stop taking this “time off!” I do think the heat is really having an affect on me as well. Since I started working out again, it has been over 90 degrees every day except one down here in Atlanta. I have been doing my runs in the morning, but clearly I need to get up earlier because I am still hot and dying! Here’s hoping I don’t feel so tortured as training progresses!

So, I’m excited to see the weight finally drop, and I’m hopeful that I can keep things up this week! Oh and thank you for everyone’s feedback last week! I haven’t had a chance to respond, as I’m barely even getting to this post! I hope to make the Weigh In Wednesday linkup rounds soon! Hope everyone has a kick butt week!

    Great weigh in! I found those 2 pounds that you lost. Lol.

    I’ve been thinking of doing another round of Ripped in 30. I love what it does for my body, even though the workouts can be dreadful.

    Haha… I hope you lose those two pounds I lost too!
    I’m really liking Ripped this time around. Honestly, I don’t think I got past week 2 the last time I tried! Determined to do all 4 weeks this time! I remember when you did your review on the blog! Part of why I bought it, so thanks! 😉
