Weekly Weigh In: Can I Get A Virtual High Five?!?

Yes. Yes! YES!!! I think it’s finally happening! My mindset, my mojo, my strength, my willpower, my determination, my motivation, my attitude… it’s all back in line! I nailed it this week! I really do think last week was my second Aha moment! I lost 4.3 lbs this week! (No typical pic of my weigh in today because the weight tracker has been giving me this message all day!…)

Tracker Error

And look at me, actually back on a weekly weigh in post schedule again! Ok, so it’s only been two weeks since I’ve been back at it, but that hasn’t happened in quite a while! I’m gonna try to keep it short. It’s getting late, and I still have things to do before getting my beauty sleep. 😉

You might be asking how I did it. Let me start out by saying that I WAS NOT PERFECT! I don’t believe I ever was a single week of this journey. by the way, and I made it to goal! So there ya have it!

Now, what did I do? Well, first, here’s a visual… my weekly progress report:
Feb 19-25 Weight Watchers Progress Report

TRACKING – I tracked every morsel I put in my mouth. And yes, some of it had to estimate because I was out at a restaurant one night. And I also tracked it in MyFitnessPal to see just how many calories, carbs, protein and fat I am getting. It wasn’t exactly where I wanted to be, (too much fat, not enough protein!), but I think it might be helpful for me to see what works and what doesn’t in that area as I go along. Of note, calories do not exactly coincide with PointsPlus, and I was consuming between 1000-1700 calories per day. I also ate under the points target a few days. A Weight Watchers no-no, but I’m not gonna eat if I’m not hungry!

EXERCISE – I amped up my activity. I vowed to do at least 30 minutes a day for 6 days. I went to dance classes, walked, jogged, and did abs workouts. The good ol’ ActiveLink calculated 27 Activity Points for the week. I even started my 8 week training for an 8K. This is super helpful in keeping me motivated because let me tell you, right now, I can barely pull out 2 miles straight at my slowest pace ever! :( But I’m trying not to focus on pace and just focus on making the mileage.

POSITIVE THINKING – I keep reminding myself that I’ve done this before, when I had a lot more weight to lose, so I can do it again! And then there is my favorite line Jennifer Hudson says in the commercial I was in last year: “We’re human. We fall down. We gain weight. And we get back up.” I’m getting back up! And then there’s my main mantras constantly running through my head: “It’s not about perfection. It’s about persistence.” and “Just keep going. Eventually you’ll get there.”

As someone told me today, “It’s amazing how well Weight Watchers works when you actually follow the program!” So true!

On another note, my lab results came back and my thyroid level is not quite where it should be, so my medication dosage has been increased, which should help with my metabolism and my energy level, which I hope helps me to want to work out more! It’s still a struggle right now because I’m tired all the time!

Also, next week I am getting 5 days of Fresh ‘N Fit Cuisine meals! I got an Amazon Local deal for $67! I don’t think think they come with nutrition values on them, so I don’t think I will be able to track points next week. But they are 1200 calories per day, and that’s in the range that I was eating this week. And just think, that’s 21 fresh meals I don’t have to shop for, cook, or even think about what to have! I’ll be sure to let you know how it is!

So, did anyone else have a kick butt week?

You have been a huge motivation for me. I too have gained back more than I would like to admit. But, I love how real you are in your struggles. It’s good to “see” you smile again. :)

Thank you so much, AnnySue!I’m glad that I can still motivate people! It’s so good to hear! I think being honest here keeps me more accountable and keeps me from actually gaining it all back. I want people to see that you may go up and down, but it can still be done! And even for myself, maybe next time, I can recognize the signs before the weight gain gets outside of a healthy range! Wishing you the best in your journey!

Yay! I am so glad you are getting in a good rythym! That makes it easier. And those victories keep you motivated to keep going. Congrats! So proud of you!
