So I gained a half a pound. Seriously, I am not complaining. Considering I went back down 5.8 pounds last week, I guess I really can’t complain! And I got sick this week and had some of my old school comfort foods. I didn’t work out a single day. I know I said I was gonna “try” to get back down to business last week, but it just didn’t happen. In general, my weight was all over the scale each day this week. And there was one sweet day I weighed in at 124.9… um, yeah, just under my goal! But alas, that was just a fleeting moment. Sigh. But truth be told, I was really dehydrated that day, and knew it would come back. And again, I am not upset with this week’s gain. But here is what I think may push me to that goal. Well, several things.
#1: I was checking out my weight tracker history (see below) to see just how long I have been so close to goal. I got my last 5 lb star on August 22nd, and have been hovering around just above goal for 8 weeks now. Yep, 2 months. I haven’t really been trying. And to be quite honest, I consider myself where I need to be, but I still just want to hit that mark and keep it for a while, ya know?
#2: I started that 5K training plan yesterday, and since I have only been running like once a week, if that, I think it might kick my weight loss back into gear.
#3: Wow, it’s week 45. That means it’s coming up to a year since I re-committed to the program. Yep, in just 7 weeks. I don’t want to hit a year and not have hit my goal!
So as of today, I’ve got 2.4 measly pounds to lose, and if I just really get back into the swing of things, I know I can do that! And I’ve got all this momentum. Yep, I am staying positive that I am gonna kick this week’s butt!
