What a freaking fantastic week! Well, it’s actually quite interesting that that was the first thing I thought of when starting out this post. I guess I generally am in a good mood. It’s weird because I’ve been struggling the last few days with having had a really nice date last Friday night and not hearing back from the guy. (Boo!) But here I am thinking what a great week it has been! (Yay!) I am clearly handling this better than I thought! I guess the fact that I went out on another date, and moreover that it didn’t end up being a total disaster as it often has, is, in and of itself, pretty cool. Just walking away from it knowing I had a good time, that I acted like a lady, and that I was genuine feels good. It is just at this very moment I’m realizing I am so much more confident and okay with myself, and I know a lot of it has to do with my success in getting healthy and fit. How cool is that?
I mean, ok, I did have an evening of girlie sadness. A culmination of rain, PMS, and a slightly bruised-ego/broken-heart brought me to watching the movie “He’s Just Not That Into You,” eating chocolate and vodka cocktails for dinner, crying, and then starting to read the actual book “He’s Just Not That Into You.” What makes that whole evening of crazy-girl behavior cool is that 1) I let myself do it only if I got in some cardio first, so I ran… faster than normal… in the rain… which, in turn, helped me sort of vent my frustration, 2) some of the stuff that Greg Behrendt says in that book actually helped me move on (well, sort of… I’m still a girl after all!), and 3) I still lost weight this week! ha ha
Even more amazing things… 1) All the awesome feedback I got about my before and after picture last week… thank you so much virtual supporters!!!… and now that I am down about another 5 lbs, I might need to sport a new pic!, 2) I thought I was gonna only run 3 days a week ever since I was inspired to pull out that run last Monday, but I ended up running every workout the rest of the week, and Tuesday, I ran an entire 3.2 miles without stopping! It was slow… ok, it was jogging… but I basically ran an entire 5K in my neighborhood!, and 3) did I mention I lost 2 lbs this week! 😉 And I got another one of those little 5 lb stars! Woo hoo!
Weight: 140.2 lbs
Change this week: -2.0 lbs
Total lost: -60.9 lbs

And if you’re wondering, it’s not actually week 27 on Weight Watchers, it’s just week 27 of giving weekly updates since re-committing myself to the program.
